Welcome to our Trans-Am Project called, "Christine". She is the '77 Buccaneer Red Trans-Am that started Screamin' Chicken Chasers (SCC).

Here is "Christine" in 1995.
She bears the name "Christine" from the Steven King Book about the car that just will not die and tries to take over a young mans life. Each time I think she is done for she rallies back!
"Christine" is home again. She had been away for a year and in a strange twist she is returned yet again to our nest.
To learn more on how this car started SCC read the story, A Bird in the hand...Our Story on the About Us page.
Brief History
This car was sold in 1995 to someone who was supposed to finish her restoration. Instead she was stripped and left in the woods in a Pontiac graveyard.
This is a photo of "Christine" in the spot we found her in 2007.
At that time I sold her, I was about to move and I knew I had no where to store her and no time or money to finish her, but I never dreamed she would end up a parts car.
I located her in 2007 and bought her back for my son Mason. I started the body work immediately, but had to put everything on hold when my neck was broken in a car wreck. During my recovery I started SCC.
In 2008 she was completely submerged underwater during Hurricane Ike. We quickly high pressure washed and bathed her in baking soda. Next she was 100% sandblasted and primed.
We located a car in better shape and sold her off. A year later we got her back. The restoration is on hold to evaluate the extent of the damage and to see if the effort we did to save her paid off. She will sit dormant until my son's car, "Eleanor" is complete.
This section contains a number of photos that brings you along her incredible journey that has been 15 years in the making.
The photos are in order and end with the most recent for this section.

I will start back on a full restoration of "Christine" for myself once "Eleanor", my son's car is complete. For now I will stop the current rust.
It will take a great deal of work to restore this car. The future plans include a 455 ci/500 HP motor with a Hurst Dual Gate shifter atop a 400 auto tranny in front of a 4.11 gears. This is a combination a had before and I loved it!
She may or my not get a Hurst or Fisher roof, but either way she will probably get painted black and gold.
Here is a quick timeline of "Christine" across the last 15 years.
