  • My Son's Project - 1977 Trans-Am

Another thing this page lets me do is share things with you, like what stage we are at on my son’s project, the ’77 Trans-Am, as well as, answer your questions, share thoughts on certain years, articles, or just thoughts in general on Firebird and Trans-Ams.

Here are some quick pictures from the beginning...

    along the way...

    to present day.

Featured here is my youngest son Mason and his car.

My two boys are helping with the restoration. We decided to take you along our journey. If you visit the SCC 360° section you can see our project from the beginning to now, and if you visit the Flashback section you can get some then and now comparison pics. We will be adding video clips to these sections soon.

This project is a complete frame-off restoration. The car currently is resting on jack stands with only the rear bumper, the doors, and a few bolts before the body is removed off the frame. Next, the frame will be blasted and coated. We are sanding the body and priming as we go.

You may have already noticed that there are several pictures and references to ’77 Trans-Ams on this site. That is an easy one to answer…it is my favorite year. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love all Muscle Cars from the 60’s and 70’s, especially Firebirds and Trans-Am, but everyone has a favorite year, right. Read the entire story in the About Us section titled "A Bird in the Hand...Our Story" to see how it all began.

"Thanks for checking out our projects!" - Hooper and Mason

  • SCC DIY

  • Daddy has a Project...

Well, the time has come. My son and I have been working on his car (1977 T/A), so it was time for Dad here to get one. I picked up this 1980 Esprit this past weekend.

A Great Cause!

I am no Superman, but Christopher Reeve was and still is in my mind and in my heart.

When I started researching information about my neck injury from the car wreck, which my Doctor called, “A Superman Fracture”, I found great amount of information on Christopher Reeve.

Please do not think that I am in any way making a comparison to myself, I just wanted to help get awareness out there on the The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. It is a great cause and a great deal of people need your help!

I often think back on my wreck and what could have been, so I thank God every day!

Click on the picture at the top or the words Superman Tags to purchase yours.

SCC gets no money in any way shape or form. I just felt the need to help spread the news of the wonderful Reeves’ Foundation.
